We’ve already mentioned in previous articles that Google is constantly developing its attributes in GMB listings. After launching features such as Click & Collect, Curbside or pickup, Google is now releasing 4 attributes to simplify online appointments scheduling.
Google already allowed businesses to indicate a secondary link so that Internet users could make appointments from GMB listings. Now Google makes it easier to highlight if your locations offer online appointments.
This information is displayed on the Google Local Pack and in Google Maps results so that people can see the information at a glance.
So far, we have seen this attribute for real estate agencies, beauty salons, hairdressers, and bank and insurance agencies.
Google is already testing other attributes in the US
As most of Google My Business features, the “Online Appointment” attribute was tested in the United States several weeks ago before being launched in other countries. At the same time, Google is already testing other attributes that may be available soon for other categories.
For example, medical institutions can indicate the attribute “Online care” on their Google My Business listing.
In addition to these, several service categories such as maintenance or lawn care can add to their listing “Online estimates”.
You can also find a new “Online classes” attribute for tutoring or training services.
We can clearly notice that Google has been focusing on displaying online appointment attributes since the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis and the exceptional closure of many establishments.
Google wants to help companies highlight features that will allow them to attract more customers. We are following these new features with great attention and we will inform you when other attributes will be available.
